By investigating “Yakin Nikah” characters’ speech acts, this research aims to explore the types of speech acts that exist and to analyse how those speech acts are then classified into Illocutionary act.

With the existence of YouTube, many short length films are found to have speech acts especially in one of the YouTube series entitled “Yakin Nikah”. Speech acts are always found in our daily basis, and even found in films, advertisements, and social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Within the interaction process among speaker and hearer comes with an act or action along that is called speech acts, which refers to when a person is saying something, it is hoped that the hearer act as what the speaker intends him or her to do.
In order to maintain a great means of communication between people, language use plays a significant role in the interaction process. The research problem will be discussed are: First, What types of Illocutionary acts are found in “You are my home” movie English subtitle? Second, what is the most dominant types of Illocutionary acts used in “You are my home” movie English subtitle? Finally, the purposes of this research are to find out the types of Illocutionary acts and to analyze the most dominant Illocutionary acts produced in “You are my home” movie English subtitle. This research used the combination between qualitative and quantitative approach. But for this occasion, this research focuses in analyzing Illocutionary Act in the movie “you’re my home” that presented by Evim Sensin. According to Austin (1962) suggests that in uttering a sentence, a speaker is generally involved in three level of speech acts, they are locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. The study of speech act is very important for us because it can make us comprehend what message that discovered in every utterance. It's accurate in that ittries to present the birth of Islam as most people today probably learnit. The plot focuses on the historical events ratherthan the Koran itself, which contains almost no history from its ownperiod, and is therefore different from a lot of Biblical epics whichpresent the historical events IN the Bible. Having said that, however, the film is still a very good depiction ofthe birth of Islam. I would like to have known a lotmore about his life from the film, not his mannerisms or speech asdepicted by a particular actor, but at least the major events of hislife, his children, his wives, and so on. While this is well affected, it unfortunatelyremoves him from a lot of the story. It was filmed in accordance with Islamicpolitical correctness, so The Prophet himself is never depicted,visually or vocally. This film starts with Muhammed receiving the Koran from the angelGabriel and ends at his death. I'm a history major who took several courses inthe history of the Middle East and Islam, so nothing is going to begood or accurate or trivia filled enough for me, but it certainlydidn't contradict anything I'd learned (for cinematic purposes orotherwise), and that's more than I can say for any historical epic I'veseen in several years. dialogs which are rather more monologueswith pauses), the rest of the movie compensates in full! Watching thismoviewill probably not make you go out to become a muslim (although I have readthat most of the cast/crew involved did so), but certainly put some thoughtand understanding into you. If the movie has one shortcoming,it'sthat the main character, prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him), is neveractually seen or heard, as it would have been a deadly sin to have an'imposter' playing Him in the movie. When I first saw this film, it left me in tears andspeechless for quite some time after.
It's an experience ofalifetime! It shows the true meaning of Islam, its roots, its basic beliefs,and so much more. If you are a muslim, you must see this, if you are interested in Islam, youmust see this, and all others should still see this.
